Safe places if you’re experiencing domestic abuse
Recently, a range of “safe places” have been established if you’re experiencing domestic abuse and need help while you’re out and about. These have a range of purposes, from providing direct support to you, or helping you have free and easy access to local or national helplines. So in Somerset what are these safe places?
Supermarkets
- Morrisons
Consulting rooms in pharmacies in 117 Morrisons stores have designated safe spaces where Morrisons pharmacists – who have been specially trained – can direct those seeking help to the support they need. Information about the safe spaces and where to get help is shared on posters and till receipts in all 494 Morrisons stores. - Tesco
All stores are safe spaces, and if you ever feel unsafe, please use the stores to wait for a taxi, bus or a friend for as long as you need. Store colleagues are more than happy to help you. - Asda
